What you can convert

25 converters cover 6 categories, from everyday length, weight, volume and temperature to engineering quantities such as pressure, torque, viscosity and luminance. Every converter also has a dedicated page for each pair of units, with the conversion factor and a reference table, so you can bookmark exactly the conversion you use.

How conversions are calculated

Each category uses a single base unit. A value is converted into that base unit with a fixed factor and then out to the target unit, which keeps results consistent no matter which pair you choose. Inverse quantities such as fuel economy and temperature scales use their exact formulas instead of a multiplier. Currency rates are fetched live and refreshed hourly.

Results are shown to six significant figures and are intended for general reference. For legal, medical, scientific or commercial use, confirm against an authoritative source.
