Fahrenheit to Kelvin Converter
CommonCelsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin.
How to convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin
Temperature scales have different zero points, so use the formula K = (°F − 32) × 5⁄9 + 273.15 rather than a multiplier. The table below applies it to common values; for the opposite direction use the Kelvin to Fahrenheit converter.
About these units
Fahrenheit (°F)
On the Fahrenheit scale water freezes at 32 °F and boils at 212 °F, so one Fahrenheit degree is 5/9 of a Celsius degree. It is the everyday scale in the United States.
Kelvin (K)
The kelvin is the SI unit of temperature, starting at absolute zero (0 K = −273.15 °C). Kelvin steps are the same size as Celsius degrees, and no degree sign is used.
